Jay Noren, MD, finalist in the search for Wayne State University's 10th president, will visit the campus on May 12 and 13. The Board of Governors, building on the considerable work of the Presidential Search Advisory Committee, has considered many candidates and believes Dr. Noren's extensive experience in both higher education and health care issues makes him ideally suited for the university.
An open forum for the campus community will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 3:30 p.m. in the Community Arts Auditorium. A reception follows at the McGregor Memorial Conference Center.
The Board of Governors will hold a special meeting at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 14 to give formal consideration to Dr. Noren's candidacy.
